Cathryn Collins is the founder and president of I PEZZI DIPINTI, INC., a luxury goods design company founded in 1987. Collins is the director and producer of Vlast (power), a feature documentary completed in 2010, about the long imprisoned and now released Russian oligarch, Mikhail Khodorkovsky.
Collins’ is in perpetual motion, travelling widely for her business, which is based between New York, Italy, India & Morocco, and for other projects.
Collins serves on the board of the Kathmandu Valley Preservation Trust. She has served at length on the boards of Inwood House & The Mark Morris Dance Group; served as a trustee of the Florence Academy of Art; served as a founding Co - Chairman of the Friends of The Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and of the Next Wave Associates of the Brooklyn Academy of Music; and as a member of the committee on film at the Museum of Modern Art. Collins was a contributing editor at Departures magazine from 2005 until 2017, writing extensively about travel.
A native of Chicago and a Manhattan resident, Collins has a BA from Harvard University (1980) and an MBA from Columbia University (1983).
