The HOME Project has contributed to numerous positive changes in the national institutional ecosystem for the protection of unaccompanied minors. Thanks to our continuous advocacy efforts, a new department within the Ministry of Migration and Asylum was established and a General Secretary for the Protection of Unaccompanied Minors was appointed.

Our Child Protection Model was recognized by the Greek government and was voted into law, setting the standards and protocols that must be followed by all shelters housing unaccompanied refugee children.

Obama Foundation Europe Leaders Program

The HOME Project's CEO, Sofia Kouvelaki was selected to participate in the first cohort of the program, alongside other young leaders creating impactful change in their communities and beyond.
