Stelios Vellis

Chief Development Officer

Stelios is the Chief Development Officer of The HOME Project. He was born and raised in Athens, Greece. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and Communication from Cardiff University, and has completed a Master of Arts in Political Communications at Goldsmiths College, University of London. An avid traveller, creative thinker, and engaging communicator, he started his career as a journalist. It wasn’t until his serendipitous encounter with a street fundraiser that he realized he could transform his vision of making the world a better place into a mission. For the last 15 years, he’s been a passionate advocate for numerous causes (including the British Heart Foundation, Macmillan Cancer Support, Pride in London, Save the Children, Children International, ChildFund International, PLAN, The Humane Society of the United States, Shelter, St John Ambulance, St Mungo’s, and the World Wildlife Fund) and has worked across Brand Campaigns, Community Fundraising, Corporate Partnerships, Individual Giving, and Legacy Marketing. Competitive by nature, and yet a genuine team player, Stelios firmly believes that “we rise by lifting others.”
