Ariadne Velissaropoulos

After decades living and working in the US, UK and Switzerland, Ariadne Velissaropoulos has resettled in her native Athens where she is an angel investor and strategic advisor to start-ups, with a special focus on ones with diverse founding teams. In parallel, she serves on the Board of Petros Petropoulos, an Athens Stock Exchange-listed automotive importer and distributor, and as an Ambassador of the Georgetown Institute for Women Peace and Security, which studies and highlights the role of women in peace and security globally.
Ariadne has spent the bulk of her career working in finance, first at Morgan Stanley and then at boutique alternative investment firms, where she led the marketing and distribution function. Over the course of her 15 years in asset management she raised more than $4.5 billion from top-tier institutional investors.
Ariadne holds a BSLA in Government and French from Georgetown University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
